Fang Hui has been playing canoe polo since 2007 and was invited to join the national squad in 2016. Her first international representation was at the 2017 Asian Championships in Malaysia and won her first Asian Championships gold in 2019. She earned the title of as the Top Female Scorer at the 2019 Championships. Besides her desire to put every ball into the net, Fang Hui is also a feisty and strong defender, making her a valuable, all-rounded player. Fang Hui also contributed to the team's highest achievement in the world ranking at the 2018 World Championships, allowing the team to qualify for Singapore's first World Games in 2022. At the 2022 World Championships, she helped the team to an 11th-place finish and was subsequently recognised as the Top Female Scorer of the competition.
