Lucas Ng's journey in the world of skating began at the age of three when he stepped onto the ice alongside his family. As he matured, Lucas's curiosity expanded beyond the ice rink. He delved into inline skating, uncovering a new realm of speed and skill. This fascination with wheels on pavement carried him through his teenage years, refining his abilities and fostering a deep connection to the world of skating. At fifteen, a new role beckoned – that of a coach. Armed with a wealth of experience and a fervent enthusiasm, Lucas assumed the mantle of mentorship, sharing his knowledge and igniting the aspirations of young skaters who admired him. Then, in late 2010, a pivotal moment arrived. Lucas embarked on the journey of ice speed skating, a move that would redefine his trajectory. As he transitioned his skills to the ice, a fresh chapter of determination and growth unfurled. His ice skating odyssey saw him navigate challenges and invest countless hours in honing his craft. With each passing year, he etched his name onto the ice with resilience and unyielding commitment. Since 2010, he secured multiple SEA Games medals and National records, while also dedicating himself to nurturing the next generation of skaters, thereby fostering the sport's development. In 2021, a new opportunity emerged. Lucas shifted his focus to training and developing inline speed skating, recognizing the potential to qualify for the 2022 Asian Games. Armed with an indomitable spirit, he embarked on this new chapter, seamlessly blending his experiences from ice and inline skating into an unwavering pursuit of excellence for both himself and his team. Through every twist and turn – from those initial days on the ice to coaching and embracing the challenge of speed – Lucas Ng's journey stands as a testament to the enduring strength of passion.
