Since 2014, Khirmern has been an avid sportsman and para athlete who has dabbled in athletics, powerlifting, and sailing, but is fascinated by the cerebral aspect of lawn bowls. He took up lawn bowls competitively in 2020. A left leg amputee whose physical impairment was due to wounds from a bicycle fall that developed into gangrene, his disability has never stopped him from being as normal as he was before. His philosophy is, “Everyone faces obstacles. What matters is how you deal with them. Limits only exist in your mind.”
