"Guo Wei is an Asian Games debutant. He was from the school basketball team before being exposed to Rowing in 2018 and eventually making the switch. His determination was most visible when he remained dedicated and unshaken despite being the only male National Rower left on the team. He is currently a student at the Ngee Ann Polytechnic, where he hopes to be able to build up a Rowing team at. Guowei is also training hard towards the goal of becoming Singapore's first male Rower to qualify for the Olympic Games. "
