Alvin has represented Singapore on numerous occasions. He has been rated first locally for the last 10 years and has won the most number of National Championships since the Singapore Xiangqi General Association was formed. He has also achieved the best international results at the World Xiangqi Championships and is the first player to achieve a gold medal at the SEA games.
