- Darren Yap is 19 this year and started taekwondo when he was 4 and started competing internationally at the age of 13. He started doing freestyle poomsae when he was 14 and actually came in second last in his first competition. But he worked hard and now he is representing Singapore in the SEA Games in the same category.
