Sock Ngin made her debut in 2011 SEA Games by being the youngest member of the ladies team, and clinched 2 silver medals. Thereafter she took a break and focussed her time on her 2 young girls, now aged 10 and 13, before making a come back in 2018 Asian Games. Her husband (Fong Kien Hoong) is also gold medalist for the Men's team in 2018 Asian Games. They pursued the passion together since their university days. Fong had selflessly given his chance to defend his Gold Medal to Tan as their daughter was sitting for PSLE within weeks of the original Asian Games date. Tan hopes to do the Fong family proud and showing their daughters that learning is a long-life journey and always to follow your passion, and with dedication, perserverance and good luck, success will come your way.
