- Laura Tan Si Ru is one of Singapore's most storied women's field hockey players, having accumulated an extraordinary 138 international caps across her career. Part of the renowned "Women's Big 4" alongside Cheryll Chia, Ho Puay Ling, and Toh Li Min, Laura is described as a clever midfielder with an uncanny ability to navigate through tight situations and set up creative plays, with equally first-class defensive skills. She had to wait nearly three more years after reaching her 100th cap during the Asian Games Qualifiers due to the COVID-induced hiatus, before eventually amassing one of the highest cap tallies in Singapore women's hockey. She continued to compete at the 2025 SEA Games, further cementing her legacy as one of Singapore's greatest players.
