She was introduced to hockey in primary school while trying out for CCA, and has since progressed to join the Under 12, Under 16, and Under 21 junior development teams. Currently, she is part of the senior women's team, preparing for the upcoming Asian Games. Xinni credits the sport for helping her gain admission into her desired academic institution, which in turn led her to the career path she is on now. Throughout her playing career, she has acquired valuable skills and experiences, with teamwork and discipline being her greatest takeaways.
